Needs related to the creation of a low-carbon society have been growing every year recently. Based on our core technologies related to materials, dies, equipment, and quality assurance, Unipres will further refine press technologies for car bodies as well as for precision-pressed and plastic-pressed products. By combining these technologies, we will also contribute to the creation of lighter weight vehicles and the improvement of fuel efficiency and safety.

Environmentally Hazardous Substances
In conformity with European regulations, Unipres has completely eliminated use of the Four Substances of Concern (lead, hexavalent chromium, cadmium and mercury). The company has also introduced cation electrodeposition coating processes, which use lead-free water-soluble paint to rust-proof metal products, and new plating processes that do not contain hexavalant chromium in the surface protectant for electro-galvanizing. We will continue to comply with environmental regulations and promote environmental management throughout our global operations.
Lightweight Components
Unipres develops new shaping technologies for high-tensile steels and ultra-lightweight components using foamed plastic, as well as promote lightweight structures. By improving fuel efficiency through the creation of lighter vehicles, we are determined to contribute to global efforts to reduce CO2 emissions.
